Fast-Track Your Skills — Four Class Bundle
Overview
This sewing class bundle is designed to take students from basic to intermediate sewing skills through a series of practical and fun projects. The projects included are a tote bag, a turtle pincushion, a cushion cover with a lapped (hidden) zip, and a zipper pouch. Each project builds on the skills learned in the previous one, ensuring a gradual and comprehensive learning experience.
Step One: Book your Bundle
Step Two: Choose any four of our Sew Anything Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday Classes. No need to choose them all at once. Pick and choose to suit your schedule.
Step Three: We'll we see you for your first lesson.
Project 1: Tote Bag
Objective: Teach basic sewing techniques including cutting fabric, straight stitching, and assembling a simple bag with a lining, gusset (flat bottom) and handles to fit you.
Skills Learned:
- Measuring and cutting fabric
- Straight stitching
- Top stitching
- Sewing gussets
- Creating and attaching handles
- Basic bag construction
Project 2: Turtle Pincushion
Objective: Introduce students to sewing small, detailed projects and working with patterns.
Skills Learned:
- Following a pattern
- Sewing curves
- Sewing small pieces
- Hand sewing
- Stuffing and shaping
Project 3: Cushion Cover with Lapped Zip

Objective: Teach students how to install a lapped zipper (the most rewarding way to make a cushion cover) and create a functional and beautiful cushion.
Skills Learned:
- Rotary cutting
- Installing a lapped zipper
- Using a zipper foot
- Sewing a cushion cover
Project 4: Quilted Zipper Pouch

Objective: Consolidate skills by creating a small, practical item with a zipper. This zip technique is different to the technique used to sew your cushion.
Skills Learned:
- Working with lining
- Quilting
- Installing a standard zipper
- Top-stitching
- Sewing a pouch

Tools:
- Sewing machines (one per student) (or bring your own)
- Sewing kits to use in class (scissors, pins, needles, seam ripper)
- Ironing station
Fabric and haberdashery
- All fabric and haberdashery to make your projects included in the price. Choose from our beautiful selection of cottons, corduroys and linens to suit your tastes.
Class Structure:
- Each project can be completed in a Sew Anything Class on Mondays or Thursdays
- Start each class with a demonstration followed by guided practice
- Allow time for individual assistance and Q&A

Class Cost: $300.00
When: Any 4 Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday Sew Anything Classes (Tuesdays 10-1 or Thursdays 10-12:30 or Saturdays 10-12:30 or 2-4:30 each week).
Our Philosophy:
At Wild Stitch Studio, we foster an inclusive classroom and take pride in our welcoming community. We practice accessible and adaptive teaching, utilizing our collective experience and skills to assist you.
Accessibility: Despite our goal to have an accessible sewing classroom, in our current location the classroom is unfortunately up a flight of stairs. There is a small bathroom downstairs, not wheelchair accessible. If you have any queries about the accessibility of our classroom, please give us a call.
We do have a mobile classroom which we take to different venues that are wheelchair accessible, so please do keep an eye out for those classes if you are unable to visit our North Hobart store.
NO SHOW POLICY
All Wild Stitch Studio Classes are limited to a certain number of class participants. You do need to give us notice if you wish to cancel your class.
If you are unable to attend the class that you have booked, you must give us
1 WEEKS’ NOTICE.
Failure to do this means that your fee has been forfeited.
Last minute cancellations will also be considered as No Shows
