With 5 flexible Sew Anything classes, which can be booked on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays, you’ll be guided through a beginner clothing project that we’ve handpicked just for you. By the end, you’ll have the skills to confidently create your own garments.

Our experienced tutors will teach you essential dressmaking techniques

• reading patterns,
• measuring and fitting to your body shape,
• fabric cutting and marking
• sewing,
• and finishing.

Throughout the classes, you'll work on a beautifully fitted dress or top, incorporating core clothes sewing methods such as seams, sleeves, gathering, pockets and hemming.

Cost: $250 (normally $350)

What’s a Sew Anything class?

Great question! These are our weekly adult classes, which run on Tuesdays from 10 AM – 1 PM, Thursdays from 10 AM – 12:30 PM, and sometimes on Saturday mornings and afternoons. When you buy this bundle, you have the flexibility to choose whichever day and week works best for you. You can use your 5 classes as quickly or as spread out as you’d like—it’s all about flexibility!

Participants will need to purchase either a Matchy Matchy Sewing Club PDF Pattern for $22 or choose one pattern from Thread Theory for $25 each.

 Please Note: The class cost does not include fabric as individual requirements will vary. We will have a great selection of appropriate fabrics in store that you can buy before the class or on the day. (We recommend before so that fabric can be washed to account for a small amount of shrinkage).

Accessibility: Despite our goal to have an accessible sewing classroom, in our current location the classroom is unfortunately up a flight of stairs. There is a small bathroom downstairs, not wheelchair accessible. If you have any queries about the accessibility of our classroom, please give us a call.

We do have a mobile classroom which we take to different venues that are wheelchair accessible, so please do keep an eye out for those classes if you are unable to visit our North Hobart store.

NO SHOW POLICY

All Frangipani Fabrics Classes are limited to a certain number of class participants.  You do need to give us notice if you wish to cancel your class.

If you are unable to attend the class that you have booked, you must give us

1 WEEKS’ NOTICE.

Failure to do this means that your fee has been forfeited.

Last minute cancellations will also be considered as No Shows
